RAISING STANDARDS
BUILDING TRUST.

CPD Framework & Quality Assurance Standards

CPD Trustmark Credential operates with a clear governance structure designed to ensure consistency, transparency, and integrity across all accreditation decisions.

We are committed to maintaining a fair and independent process that supports training providers, learners, and industry standards.

Professional Standards & Governance Framework

At CPD Trustmark Credential, we are committed to promoting high standards of professional education, transparency, learner protection, and continuous professional development within the cosmetics, beauty, aesthetics, wellness, and training industries.

Our accreditation framework has been developed to encourage safe practice, ethical learning, accountability, and ongoing professional competence across modern training environments.

While Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is not currently a statutory legal requirement across all sectors in the United Kingdom, it is strongly encouraged by insurers, industry regulators, local authorities, and professional bodies as evidence of professional commitment, competency, and safe practice.

CPD Trustmark Accreditation Standards

To maintain the integrity and credibility of our accreditation process, all academies, educators, and training providers applying for accreditation are subject to a structured due diligence and quality assurance review.

Mandatory Verification Requirements

Before accreditation approval is granted, CPD Trustmark may request and review the following documentation:

  • Valid professional and public liability insurance

  • Relevant teaching qualifications and trainer certifications

  • Treatment qualifications and competency certificates

  • Local authority licences where applicable

  • Health & safety policies

  • Infection prevention and control procedures

  • Learner policies and complaints procedures

  • Consent and model documentation

  • Course structure and learning outcomes

  • Assessment methods and competency standards

Accreditation may be refused, suspended, or removed where adequate standards of safety, professionalism, learner protection, or compliance cannot be demonstrated.

Learner Record Keeping & Transparency Policy

Leaner record keeping.

To support transparency, student protection, and verification of training history, accredited academies are expected to maintain clear and accurate enrolment records.

Training providers accredited by CPD Trustmark are strongly advised to securely retain:

  • Student full legal name

  • Course title and qualification

  • Date of enrolment and attendance

  • Completion status

  • Certification records

  • Assessment outcomes where applicable

These records help:

  • protect learner rights

  • support insurance verification requests

  • assist with certificate authentication

  • maintain transparency and accountability

  • provide evidence of training attendance if required by insurers, councils, or regulatory bodies

All records should be maintained in accordance with applicable UK data protection principles and guidance issued by Information Commissioner's Office.

Benefits of CPD Accreditation

Professional Credibility

CPD accreditation demonstrates commitment to continuous learning, professional standards, and safe practice.

Insurance Recognition

Many insurance providers request evidence of accredited training and ongoing CPD activity when assessing practitioner eligibility for cover.

Learner & Client Confidence

Accredited training promotes confidence in course quality, structure, and educational standards.

Industry Accountability

Structured CPD frameworks encourage transparency, ethical practice, and professional responsibility.

Accreditation Review Process

Training providers seeking accreditation may undergo a structured evaluation process which can include:

  1. Course material assessment

  2. Review of learning objectives and outcomes

  3. Verification of trainer competency

CPD Registers & Independent Accreditation

There is currently no single centralised CPD register within the United Kingdom. Multiple independent accreditation organisations operate across different industries and sectors, each maintaining their own frameworks, quality standards, and verification systems.

CPD Trustmark Credential operates as an independent private accreditation body supporting professional education providers and training academies seeking structured CPD recognition and quality assurance support.

Insurance Recognition

Our accreditation services are recognised by insurance partners including:

  • Insync insurance

  • Westminster Insurance

  • Finch Group

Insurance acceptance remains subject to individual insurer underwriting criteria, practitioner competency, and policy terms.
